Graph Theory. An introductory course

Posted by ubpdqn on February 19, 2012

Professor Bollobas writes concisely and clearly. The reader is quickly ushered into the amazing world of Graph Theory.

As a non-professional and novice, this book quickly put me out of my depth. However, even a superficial sampling was worthwhile to me.  It was, further, quite motivating to me.

The book covers graph properties, network flows (extending the maximum flow minimum cut theorem), graph coloring, random graphs, Ramsey theory and finally the relationship to groups.

I hope in the future and come back to this book with renewed vigor. I definitely need to read more about Graph Theory.
